LOL I totally forgot about this thing

Alright so I totally forgot about this little beauty I'd set up. Dude, it's SO lame. Unbelievably so. I gotta fix it. I got make it snazzy & jazzy, pretty & witty, spacey & racy (that one's stupid), all kinds of good stuff. Gotta make it presentable, gotta make it funny. Gotta make you laugh, gotta make you cry. Gotta make you THINK (for yourself, question authority), gotta make you dream and wish and hope and pray and feel and love and hate and ...... the most important thing of all:

GOTTA MAKE YOU READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

holy moly.. am I a dork or what???????

Funny. In my opinion, at least.

Overheard:

A young boy says to his father, "Could you help me with my ethics homework, or would that be missing the point?"

First Day of a New Week

Isn't today just the worst day? It amazes me how hard it is to get back into the swing of work when you've only been away TWO days! I mean, it happens every week, you'd think we'd be used to it by now. Or at least I'd be used to it! Unfortunately, I'm not, and I'm afraid I never will be and Monday's will always be an icky day. Poor Monday. It gets such a bad rap. Just a thought.

Just a Random Thought

I have a pretty psychedelic blog... so many colors!!!!!!!!

Wait A Minute!

Alright so I'm realizing that I've made this blog and I've not really mentioned why I have. Is it that I have lots of important things to say (or at least think I do?), or is it that I think people will be enthralled by my amazingly interesting lifestyle??

Um, not quite.....

It's a work thing. Sounds funny, doesn't it? The boss comes in and says, "Hey why are you all working instead of blogging like I told you to!!!"

That's not quite it either..

This is part of Learning 2.0, a little program to teach us (and by us I guess I mean librarians and clerks?) about different tools on the internet and how to put said tools to use. I'll admit it, when I first heard of it, I thought it was a bit, odd. But it has been pretty interesting and, dare I say, fun. I just hope that posting personal type stuff (like my continuing saga of judo) is cool. I'm sure it is, but I guess I should've posted the whole reason behind the blog first. It would've made sense, you know? I'll write more about it as I learn more things, if I do learn more things. I used to be on a computer all the time so I picked this stuff up kinda easy, but then .... I got an XBox 360 and the computer fell by the wayside and now I just have no idea what's out there. But uh, that's another post. So I'll keep you all up to date on my Judo Adventure (because you know you wanna hear it!) and I'll intersplice it with my Learning 2.0 Adventure! Maybe a little XBox 360 adventure too, since I just got a new game. I'm starting to ramble so I'm going to stop typing now. Now you got the story and I feel better.

Oops I Did It Again

I am so bad at this blogging thing. I skip days, can't think of things to say. It's awful. Having a blog just reinforces that little voice in your head that says, "Wow, you are sooooooo boring!!!"
When the voice in your head is proven right, you may as well throw in the towel. Just a thought, that's all for now!

So now I'm officially crazy, I think!

Finally, after weeks of changing my mind back and forth, I began taking Judo classes with my son on Monday night. I would've written about my experience yesterday but my arms were too sore. I most definitely have a new-found respect for Devlin. This kid loves taking judo, he takes 4 90-minute classes per week! I started out OK on Monday, but it didn't last. The class is basically a 45-minute workout followed by 45 minutes of instruction (on holds, throws, defense, etc.) The workout part destroyed me. Now, I did NOT think that I was in particularly good shape, but I didn't think I was in terrible shape. Unfortunately for me, I was, in fact, in terrible shape. I tired very quickly but pushed on. I couldn't give up in front of the kid. So now, I have pain in muscles that I didn't even know I had, and I tore up my elbow pretty good. Just to show off in front of the kid. Competitive much?? You bet. I hope I feel better by tonight because class starts at 7:30, and I will be there. Even if it kills me. Which it very well may.
